Do you remember that on Inauguration Day (Jan 20th) 2009, the national average for a gallon of gasoline was about $1.78? How’s that ‘Hope and Change’ working out for you? - Anyone But Obama, Nov 2012.” End description.]

A few people have told me that this is showing up on their newsfeed. If you see it, here’s what you should say:
“So how, exactly, does the President affect gas prices? Because those are set by the gas companies, not by our government. The Republican congress has refused any attempt to fund alternative energy, increase mileage standards, subsidize mass transit, or create peace in the Middle East — where the majority of our gas comes from. Again, how is that Obama’s fault? Hey, remember the last time when gas prices were this high? It was under Bush. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.”
You can also point them in the direction of this article about how the ultra-conservative Koch brothers set gas prices. Happy flaming!
